Holy Days of Immanuel

Passover

The Passover is a yearly event in which we remember that Pilate, a symbol of this world's governments with its civil authorities and political organizations, and the high priests, a symbol of this world's religious leaders, combined their forces to murder the Son of the Living God, the body of flesh that our God inhabited, Who is God, the Eternal God, our Father in Heaven, our Savior, the only One God. He allowed them to slay Him and thus He became God's Lamb without blemish, whose shed blood was poured out upon the world to cleanse its sin so that when we appear before Him, He no longer sees our sin, but passes over our sin so our spiritual bodies are allowed to enter His rest and eternal life. Through Jesus's birth into our lives, His life with us, our murder of Him, the Father resurrecting Him, and His ascension to the right Hand of the Father, and His love for us at every step, we are now allowed to move on to the other steps of God's Plan.

First Day of The Feast of Unleavened Bread

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
We can see in Luke, the words Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are often used interchangeably, but they are two different events. During this first Holy Day of Unleavened Bread, we joyfully celebrate because Immanuel our Messiah, the Lord our God, Jesus our Savior, allowed Himself to be beaten by us, hung upon a cross by us, and murdered by our hands, His creation. Jesus became God's Passover Lamb so that His blood poured from His body and began our healing of the hideous sickness caused by sin. We celebrate by gathering together and rejoicing before the Lord, and by the symbolic act of removing all leaven from our lives. Only unleavened bread, matzah, which contains no yeast, is allowed in our homes. The yeast puffs up the bread, symbolizing the pride that leads to sin that then leads to death. Yeast is completely removed from the homes of Jesus's followers.

Last Day of The Feast of Unleavened Bread

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
The last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a yearly reminder for us that Jesus came into the world and became our Passover Lamb so that we can now move on with our lives without the power of sin chaining us to eternal death. We rejoice and end this Holy Day week knowing that all fear is now gone because the only fear that is real fear is the fear that God will reject us. He did not reject us, and He will never reject us, but gave His own life so that we could join Him in eternity. How does He plan to do this? His Holy Days tell us the tale before the tale happens.

Shavuot
or
Feast of First Fruits
or
Feast of Weeks
or
Pentecost

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
As with all the Holy Days, there was always an animal sacrifice performed as a prophetic ritual of how Jesus would willingly become the Passover Lamb of God. On this Holy Day, there was also an offering of the finest flour presented to the Lord as a pleasing aroma, symbolic of Jesus being that first fruit of God. In the book of Acts, we see the Holy Spirit of Jesus was rolled upon the earth like a great wave that would eventually overtake the whole world, but Paul tells us that our Lord has a plan by which there will be a group of first fruits to join Him at His return. His return, you ask? When will that be? Well, let's see what God's Holy Day plan teaches us.

Rosh Hashana
or
Feast of Trumpets

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
Jesus our Savior, returns to this world to rescue it from the bonds of sin. The last trumpet of the Seventh Angel sounds to announce the return of the King! At this time, the first fruits of God are raised up, both those in the grave and those who are still alive at Jesus's return. They will rise to meet Jesus in the clouds as He begins His overthrow of the dark forces (Ephesians 6:12), who are His enemies.

Yom Kippur
or
Day of Atonement

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
He will return to this world and all the world will go into mourning. Why do we go into mourning? On this day, Jesus will appear in the sky. He will command a great angel to grab Satan (Azazel) and throw him into the bottomless pit, Revelation 20:1-3. This event was prophesied in the ancient ceremony described in Leviticus 16:1-34. The goat that was sacrificed, and whose blood atoned for the sins of all the people, is symbolic of Jesus who was sacrificed by God for the sins of the whole world. The other goat, the azazel goat (also known as the scapegoat, which is an incorrect translation as the azazel goat is symbolic of the dark powers of this world, which are the source of sin, they are not being blamed for the wrongdoings of the people, they are the true source of the wrongdoings) is removed from the people just as Satan will be removed from the world when Jesus returns and the sins of the world will be put upon his head for he is the only and true source of sin. Then the children's mourning will begin. Without the lying influence of Satan and his followers, the eyes of the world will be opened. The people will see their Lord and they will see their sin for the first time. Their hearts will be broken as they see how they have worked against their Savior and their King and have performed every sinful act before His throne, but God knows the source of our sin. A good example of how those days will look can be read in Isaiah 6:1-8, where we see how the prophet responded when he was allowed to approach the Throne of the Most Holy God, as we will do. He just wanted to die when he saw his own sin. We also will just want to die ourselves because we realize that every act of our lives was sinful, but then His mercy spreads across the land, His forgiveness overwhelms us, and with azazel removed, all of us will shout "I'll go. Send me!" to every request our Lord asks us. This is why we are taught to love all our fellow human beings, because they are not our enemies, azazel is our enemy and the source of the sin in us, but thanks be to God our Savior, the working of azazel will not hold down God's children for much longer! And so it will be, that all the people on the earth at that time, will say to the Lord, Yes, I will go! and together, with Jesus's leadership, for a thousand years, the earth will be rebuilt and prepared for that Last Great Day when everyone who had ever lived upon the earth, but did not participate in the day of Jesus's return, will be resurrected and given their first chance at salvation.

Sukkot
or
Feast of Tabernacles
or
Feast of Ingathering
or
Feast of Booths

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
This Holy Day week represents Jesus our Messiah as the triumphant King over all the earth who has returned as prophesied and removed the darkness that led all human beings into sin. Now Jesus begins His rule over all, beginning with this period of a thousand years, or the Millennium, during which time Jesus begins the restoration of all things. He changes the world so that it propers under His Law of Love, and begins to heal the wounds that had separated human beings from their Creator, Jesus. Just as God had rescued Israel from the slavery in Egypt, these days let us know that He will rescue us from the dark powers of this world. Jesus begins the process of transforming our physical bodies (booths) into the spiritual bodies we were always meant to inhabit from the beginning before our enemy orchestrated sin to enter us.

The Eigth Day
or
The Last Great Day
or
The Last Day
or
Valley of Bones
or
The Great White Throne Judgment

Because Jesus loved us and died for us as God's Passover Lamb:
All people who ever lived from the time of Adam (except those of the first resurrection), will be resurrected into flesh bodies and provided Jesus's Holy Spirit so they too will learn about, and experience the wonders of God. Most people that I hear talking about this time focus on the word judgment, but I don't believe it will be a time of judgment as we currently judge a person when he, or she, stands before a judge only to condemn them. Today, under the influence of darkness, condemnation of another is what we are all about, but that is not what Jesus is all about. So, what is that judgment? It's judgment of the dark influence that has overwhelmed most of the people of the world. Jesus is judging Satan's ways and false teachings, and removing them from the innermost parts of every human being that ever lived. He will teach His ways and overwhelm all the people with His wondrous love. Jesus, our God and Savior, will be shouting to all the world, "Come to Me!" So, how many people might bow to Jesus's Law of Love? Well, I will let you come up with your own thoughts on that, but when I see how determined our God has been to save us, my thoughts tend to drift in the direction that Jesus will overcome the darkness in every human being that ever lived. So, look at your neighbor. No matter how much you have applied the judgment of this world on them and figured they would never see you in Heaven, well, think again, change your ways, love your neighbor because they will probably be your neighbor for all eternity!
